Barry Kriebel Jr. – Owner/Trainer
Mr. Kriebel has been involved with horses for over 45 years. He started riding at the age of 4 and was already showing horses at the age of 6. Mr. Kriebel successfully trained my first Quarter horse at the age of 12. He is a graduate of Delaware Valley College with a degree in Equine Science. Mr. Kriebel shows American Saddlebreds and Hackney ponies and has been involved with promoting the breed to the community at large and introducing students into the world of Saddleseat riding for over 19 years. He is the lead trainer and co-owner of Thunder Ridge Farms, a Saddlebred boarding, lesson, breeding and training facility in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Mr. Kriebel is also a graduate of Empire Beauty School and operated two hair salons in the Lehigh Valley. However, his primary passion has always been horses. In his quest to marry my passion for horses and sense of civic duty, Mr. Kriebel co-founded New Horizon Equine Academy a non-profit to provide equine therapy to at-risk clientele using Saddlebred horses as facilitator. In the process, he became a certified brain injury specialist and certified medical technician with a focus on crisis management. Mr. Kriebel is the primary therapist for New Horizon and offers EAP and EFL therapies to clients afflicted with physical and psychological adversities.
